POLICE were called to a city centre supermarket after a suspected shoplifter 'acted aggressively' when he was challenged by a security guard.
Around five police cars attended the incident at Tesco Extra, off Clough Street, Hanley, at about 2.45pm today.
Staffordshire Police have now confirmed a man was arrested on suspicion of theft and was taken into custody for questioning.
